Are You Living with Liver Fibrosis?
Liver fibrosis is the excessive accumulation of extracellular matrix proteins, including collagen, that occurs in most types of chronic liver diseases. Advanced liver fibrosis results in cirrhosis, liver failure, and portal hypertension and often requires liver transplantation.
That’s why Allied Health Clinical Research is looking for volunteers with fibrosis for a research study of an investigational medication. To qualify, you must:
- Be 18 to 70 years of age
- Have a diagnosis of NASH
Early signs may include the following:
- Weight Loss
- Fatigue
- Weakness
- Web-like clusters of blood vessels under your skin
- Nosebleeds
- Itchy Skin
- Yellow skin and eyes
- Loss of appetite
