Non-Alcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH)
According to the Liver Foundation, 4.5 million U.S. adults have been diagnosed with liver disease, but it is estimated that 80-100 million adults in the U.S. have liver disease and do not know they have it. If symptoms occur, they can include skin and eyes that appear yellowish, abdominal pain or swelling in the legs and ankles.
Allied Health Clinical Research is looking for volunteers with non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) or fatty liver disease for a research study of an investigational medication. To qualify, you must:
- Be 18 to 75 years of age
- Have a body mass index (BMI) of 30 to 45
- Have NASH or predictors of NASH which include type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol and a sedentary lifestyle
